Welcome to Ilm Centre. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must not use our services.

Ilm Centre provides an online platform that connects students with independent teachers for Quran, Arabic, and Islamic studies lessons.

2. Definitions

• Platform: The Ilm Centre website and services
• User: Any person using the platform
• Student: A user booking lessons
• Teacher: A user offering lessons
• Lesson: A scheduled session between student and teacher

3. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old or have parental consent
• You agree to provide accurate and complete information
• You are responsible for maintaining account security

4. Platform Role

Ilm Centre acts as a marketplace only:

• We connect students and teachers
• We do not employ teachers
• Teachers are independent contractors

We do not guarantee:

• lesson outcomes
• teacher availability
• uninterrupted service

5. Bookings & Payments

• All lessons must be booked through the platform
• Payments must be made through Ilm Centre
• Prices are set by teachers or the platform
• Once booked, lessons are subject to cancellation policies

6. Cancellation & Refund Policy

Student Cancellations

• Must cancel within a defined notice period (e.g. 12–24 hours)
• Late cancellations may result in loss of lesson credit

Teacher Cancellations

• Teachers must provide reasonable notice
• Repeated cancellations may result in account suspension

Refunds

• Issued at the platform’s discretion
• May be returned as credit or original payment

7. Prohibited Conduct

Users agree NOT to:

• share contact details (phone, WhatsApp, email) to bypass the platform
• arrange lessons outside the platform
• make payments outside the platform
• engage in abusive, inappropriate, or unlawful behaviour

Violation may result in:

• account suspension
• permanent ban
• forfeiture of funds

8. Off-Platform Activity

Users must not:

• attempt to take lessons outside Ilm Centre
• solicit or accept direct payments

Ilm Centre reserves the right to:

• monitor platform activity
• take action against users attempting to bypass the system

9. Teacher Responsibilities

Teachers must:

• provide accurate profile information
• deliver lessons professionally
• be punctual and prepared
• follow Islamic guidelines (Quran & Sunnah-based teaching only, if applicable)

Failure to comply may result in removal from the platform.

10. Student Responsibilities

Students must:

• attend lessons on time
• behave respectfully
• ensure a suitable learning environment

11. Content & Conduct

All users agree:

• to maintain respectful and appropriate communication
• not to share harmful, offensive, or misleading content

12. Intellectual Property

All platform content (branding, design, materials) belongs to Ilm Centre.

Users may not:

• copy
• distribute
• reproduce

without permission.

13. Limitation of Liability

Ilm Centre is not liable for:

• disputes between users
• lesson quality or outcomes
• technical issues or interruptions

Use of the platform is at your own risk.

14. Termination

We reserve the right to:

• suspend or terminate accounts
• remove users without notice

especially in cases of:

• policy violations
• misuse of the platform

15. Privacy

Your use of the platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

16. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform means you accept any changes.

17. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the applicable laws of your operating jurisdiction.
